Agricultural training, with the land as the classroom
Besides making Encostas de Lafões, engineer António Lopes Ribeiro is a certified agricultural trainer. He teaches those who drive, those who treat and those who prune, with the knowledge of someone who does all of it every day.
Course I
Pruning and Grafting of Citrus and Fruit Trees
Hands-on training in pruning and grafting, currently devoted to citrus trees, after numerous sessions on the pruning and grafting of fruit trees.
For Consultua, a vocational training institution based in Vila Real, under a protocol with AGIM in Sever do Vouga, where the training currently takes place.
Course II
APF · Application of Plant Protection Products
Courses for applicators of plant protection products: choosing the right product, dosing with precision and applying safely, protecting the crop, the applicator and the environment.
Also within Confagri's training programme.
Course III
COTS · Driving and Operating Tractors Safely
Training in the safe driving and operation of agricultural tractors: preparing the machine, working on slopes, implements, and the good practices that prevent accidents in the field.
Delivered as a trainer for Confagri, the National Confederation of the Agricultural Cooperatives and Agricultural Credit of Portugal.
